True Love Waits
True Love Waits is a youth movement that began in the USA in 1993 through the efforts of Jimmy Hester and Richard Ross of LifeWay Christian Resources and thousands of youth who wanted to make a difference through a commitment to sexual purity. This curriculum was introduced in Uganda in the mid-’90s and soon impacted the nation’s youth. It was so influential that it gained government recognition and was promoted by the President’s wife across the country. It is a curriculum designed to help young people practice abstinence and understand God’s plan for marriage and the importance of purity as Christians.
